A stitchy catch up ......February - March

Ah....the road to good intentions and all that........it's been a crazy busy few weeks and although sometimes it's been tiring, I have loved every minute!  So here is the promised catch up of stitchy stuff along with family time.......

.....starting back in February....yikes, this year is flying!

February got under way with a retreat at Mannum......it was hot weather leading up to the weekend and as I started on the drive  it was 42C....and halfway there as I was going through what I had packed it dawned on me that the fan was still at home....lucky my roomie was better prepared!!

The moon was spectacular ....

as were the sunrises......

Our home for the weekend......

Plenty of activity on the river......from family fun with boats and jet skis.....

to family fun of the swan variety......

....early morning peace with a great view.....

 busy hands at work......

one of my finishes for the weekend.....a Gail Pan pattern.....a sewing pouch and (unstuffed) pincushion.....(Gail has just released a number of new patterns....they are on my list!)

...and just as well fabric doesn't spoil with a bit of age......I pulled this 2012 Fat Quarter Shop BOM from the UFO cupboard (what you don't have a cupboard designated for UFOs??)  .......love the way these blocks go together and the amount of fabric included is very generous.  Still working on these.....

These guys were happy to pick up any crumbs left over from meals......

..and speaking of meals, there was obviously food on offer when this was taken......

The next stitching day was at Claire's....we haven't been able to get together for ages so it was great to catch up with the girls......more busy hands at work........

Later in March I spent the weekend in the city catching up with the kids and the grandies and also spending two days at a Judy Newman workshop at Hetties Patch......as usual, Judy was very generous with her time and with sharing her ideas for fabric selections for her quilts....I chose the Mayfair pattern and have found them to be quite addictive!

These are the first two blocks done....I am fitting these in around a couple of other projects...one of which is a baby quilt for Ezra.......

So that pretty much covers stitching "stuff" over the past couple of months......A little man turned one on April 1 so we gathered in a park to celebrate.  I think a first birthday deserves a post all it's own.....so until next time......................Lorraine

What fun sewing adventures. What is the name of the last block you showed in the post?

Lovely catchup, you always manage photos at your sewing getaways, that's great. Glad stitching is still taking center stage so often! Little one year olds are irresistible as are the little babies!

I enjoyed seeing all the projects in the works. Especially the applique projects.

Water Hack Burns 2 lb of Fat OVERNIGHT

Over 160000 men and women are trying a easy and secret "water hack" to lose 2 lbs each and every night while they sleep.

It's simple and works every time.

This is how to do it yourself:

1) Grab a drinking glass and fill it half the way

2) Then follow this crazy hack

and become 2 lbs skinnier as soon as tomorrow!
