I'm back......

It's been an age! Last October since I posted to this forum....I have thought about it during that time, but until today I haven't put those thoughts into action.  Ah procrastination abounds in all facets of my life I think :)

So...to recap a little ....I celebrated another birthday and then Christmas  with these legends.....

Love the out-take as well......Lenny had had enough and was making a break for it.....

Last time I posted I had just attended a class with Christine Vlasic at Millrose Cottage in Victoria ......and hand pieced the first block of Marrakesh......

A month or so ago the I finished piecing the top and got it on to my floor frame for hand quilting.....and I have been slowly working on it as time permits.....no hurry :)

As you can see, Rose is ever so thrilled about it.....

So Spring and Summer came and went oh and so has Autumn......

...and we are now into Winter......with it's cold mornings and grey skies.....I am waiting on a garden guru to come and tidy up the trees out the front, they have sort of exploded and need a bit of a prune but they are always spectacular no matter what time of year I think....

Time in the sewing room has been limited...the weekends are busy and go fast and work takes up the rest of the week.....this time last year I visited my sister and bought these 10" squares from Ruby and Kate in Port Lincoln....

Which I made up into this the next day.......

As soon as I got home I put it together with wadding and backing and set about machine quilting it.....well, that didn't do so well, couldn't decide on thread colour or stitch or even how to quilt it.....I started a couple of times and unpicked each effort then left it hanging over the chair in the sewing room.....looked at it a few times.....and left it again.....until yesterday, I walked in, grabbed the nearest pinkish colour thread, marked some lines with the trusty Hera marker and a couple of hours later it was done!  Why I procrastinated so long on something that in the end was so simple I have no clue!  Binding on last night and a wash and dry this morning and it's done....ok....it's not perfect, a bit puffy in places but it's soft and light and I love it!

My other "go-to" projects have been mostly quick finishes.....some zippered pouches and cushions after going to a class at Hetties Patch for a crash course in attaching piping and inserting zippers.....

So whilst that doesn't cover all of the months I have been absent from blogland it does give a bit of a recap/catch up - time does fly by and the first months of this year have been a bit of a blur.

'Til next time...............Lorraine

Lovely newsy post after your absence from blogland! The kids and babes look charming, as does your fabric and thread play. You’ve not been idle, certainly! Thanks for sharing some of your stitching life! Come back soon, eh?

Did you hear there's a 12 word sentence you can speak to your partner... that will induce deep emotions of love and instinctual attraction to you deep within his chest?

That's because deep inside these 12 words is a "secret signal" that triggers a man's impulse to love, worship and look after you with all his heart...

===> 12 Words Will Fuel A Man's Love Impulse

This impulse is so built-in to a man's genetics that it will drive him to work harder than before to love and admire you.

Matter-of-fact, triggering this all-powerful impulse is so binding to getting the best possible relationship with your man that as soon as you send your man a "Secret Signal"...

...You'll instantly notice him open his soul and mind for you in such a way he's never experienced before and he will distinguish you as the only woman in the world who has ever truly appealed to him.

As stated by Stanford Medical, It is indeed the ONLY reason women in this country live 10 years longer and weigh an average of 42 lbs less than us.

(By the way, it is not related to genetics or some secret exercise and really, EVERYTHING to do with "how" they eat.)

P.S, What I said is "HOW", and not "what"...
