2020 - Changes, changes........

Well, here we are in 2020 - ten years ago my world as I knew it was changed when I suddenly became single again and I started again in a different town in a different house - it seems (in so many ways) like yesterday but so much has changed since then - including me!  I rediscovered my independence, worked hard in a job I enjoyed and at the end of 2019 I was able to retire!

So, more changes afoot as we enter 2020 - I am excited!

After working full time for many years - 17 in the most recent position - I wasn't sure how I would feel to retire. It does feel a little strange not to be part of an organisation I have spent so much time with, but I am getting there!  The days are filling up with other things and I am enjoying being able to accept invitations for week day stitching catch ups and lunches here and there - not to mention the ability to spend more time with family.

Rhiannon and Wade gifted me a calendar for Christmas and I fully intend to head into 2020 with the exuberance of Ezra pictured on the front cover....

Since I last wrote in I think August last year Rhiannon and Wade have welcomed little Eli into their family - Ezra is enjoying his big brother status I think!

Christmas was a fun, busy time with family ....I didn't take many photos on the day - but here is the annual Santa visit pic.......

the boys are very much into playing Hide 'n Seek and Lenny and Ezra found a mattress and a couple of Granny's vintage quilts made for the perfect scenario.....gosh it was hard to work out where they were! Such fun.......

I think that will about do it for now - have to ease myself into this blogging a little more often!

'Til next time.......Lorraine

Hi Lorraine! Glad to see your update and all the pics of the grands and your kids--it looks like you are going to have a lovely time getting to spend more happy hours stitching and playing.

I'm just back into blogging myself. I can't believe I missed most of 2019! I'd love to go back and catch up but I just don't have it in me to write up stories about our trip to Scotland and Greece in 2018 and Africa in 2019 (I even missed getting that on Instgram due to the lack if internet service over there).
Wow, retired! Lucky you! It must be lovely to not have an agenda after so long. I can't wait...
I'm about to become a granny to a fur-baby - Brianna and her fiance Michael are about to take delivery of a miniature dachshund, to be known as Footlong Frank! I think I'm as excited as they are...!
Enjoy your lunch dates and stitching days, that sounds like bliss!

Cheers - Joolz xx

I can see your enjoying retirement already and sure that grandmothering duties and more sewing will fill your days quickly! Hide and seek is such fun at this age!

Hi Lorraine - By way of introduction, I met you at one of Gum Valley Patchwork's SIS, I think it was 2014 (my, time flies), and actually walked with you and Gayle before we went to the 'day'. Just wanted to say to grab the opportunities to babysit when you can. I have on many occasions and it is soooo rewarding and fun to share moments with these little people, particularly before they start school. Best of luck with your retirement.

Did you hear there's a 12 word sentence you can speak to your man... that will trigger deep feelings of love and instinctual appeal for you deep within his chest?

Because hidden in these 12 words is a "secret signal" that triggers a man's instinct to love, worship and look after you with his entire heart...

12 Words That Trigger A Man's Desire Instinct

This instinct is so built-in to a man's mind that it will make him try better than before to build your relationship stronger.

Matter-of-fact, fueling this dominant instinct is so mandatory to achieving the best ever relationship with your man that as soon as you send your man a "Secret Signal"...

...You will immediately notice him expose his mind and soul for you in a way he's never expressed before and he will recognize you as the only woman in the galaxy who has ever truly interested him.
