I'm back......

Did you miss me????? Due to the computer dying a horrible death.....see previous post.....I was off the air for a while......not long thanks to the Prince who has been reinstalling and downloading not to mention melting down...oh yes - computers have a way of making even the most even tempered among us grumpy!!

I went out in my lunch break yesterday and picked up the new beast - (after paying for it of course!) - got it home thinking it was just a matter of connecting everything and we would be back in business..well yes - until we got to the bit that said ...."password"...password??.....hmmmm.....oh yes that would be the one put on when they installed the programs in the shop.......well, no one there at 9.00pm so will have to wait until they open in the morning........morning came and I phoned...."oh the password"....."hmmmm thought T** took that off......"..... obviously not....so we were in business and I am back..........

Beautiful cold and wet day here today......really enjoying being indoors.....I borrowed a Wii for the weekend and while the Prince was doing battle with the computer I was honing my golf and tennis skills....what a hoot!! Kept me warm anyway!!

So you might have gathered not much stitching is getting done! I didn't go to watch Mark play footy.......the oval they are playing on today doesn't have much parking around it and it isn't the best day to be standing out! (I think I am getting old!) Terri is keeping me up to date with the score.

On a recent post Chooky Blue mentioned her scone cutter....a favourite she had inherited .... I got to thinking about my grandma and a couple of things I have of hers which I cherish.....

.........the little cruet set and the covered plate were hers.....the little Santa in front is/was Mum's and it was on the Christmas cake she made every year.....funny that something like that can conjure up so many memories........I found it languishing in one of Dad's cupboards when I was over there a couple of years ago and last year it returned to it's rightful place on the Christmas cake. Speaking of Chooky Blue.....I received some cards from her in the post this week......

Thanks Donna - they are delightful!!! I also received my Challenge Pack from Kerry ............

....so thinking cap on to come up with something before the closing date.....September I think........I do have a couple of weeks off soon so will have some dedicated stitching time.......well that's the plan.........I have included a photo of a couple of plants I found at the local nursery (I am not a gardener - I love to look at fabulous gardens, but can take no credit for any gardening that happens here!).... I had to go to the nursery to get a couple of plants for work and came across these interesting little puppies......so after I had picked the plants for work and completed that transaction I got these to take home....but they are still in my office.....they are a bit different - and I like that about them!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.....'Til next time.......Lorraine

It's been a great weekend here too. Cold and rainy, don't think I'll ever get sick of it! Glad you didn't stand out in it though, I must be getting old too!

Hey Lorraine! Ooooohh! You got sucked in by the Challenge from Cottage on the Hill, too! I was hooked after seeing Chookyblue's post about it. Hmmmm thinking, thinking - maybe later! Have a good week and enjoy your new 'toy' - the advantage of being married to Geek Boy is that he keeps me on the air! Tee! Hee! Hee! Bear Hugs! KRIS (Tag Along Teddies)
