Time for Tea with goodness from Freda's Hive

This morning I discovered a package on my front verandah.....it must have been delivered yesterday but I didn't see it when I came home..(always use the back door)...and this morning when I left for the gym it was too dark to see it! So I found it when I got home.............and because I was in a rush to get to work I grabbed it and took it with me....as you do! I couldn't wait until I got home tonight!! Inside were goodies from Nanette at Freda's Hive....we didn't know that this was a direct swap....so I sent to AND received from Nanette....I have been lurking over on her blog and am a big fan of her work!!!...it turns out we received our packages on the same day....couldn't have planned that!! When I saw the red dotty packages on Nanette's blog the other day all ready to be sent I was wondering who the lucky person was - I had seen the sneak peeks and thought the project looked fab.......! .........and there you go....it was me............anyhoo...! Here is what I found when I opened the parcel.....

Nanette's pattern also includes some fabric to make it! The small "squishy" contained a potholder (Nanette have you been peeking in my kitchen to see what I use as a potholder???)..and a kitchen towel.......love the fabric...haven't seen anything like that before........................the larger "squishy" contained this gem! I love it!!! Nanette tells me it is a table topper but I have just the place to hang it........

Thank you so much Nanette......you were very generous and I love everything .... and thanks to Stephanie for organising the swap....if you visit Stephanie's blog she has a list of the participants and has noted who has received their swap goodies...worth a look!

I had a two and a half hour stint at the dentist today - there was a lot of drilling and some crowning happening.....I think they were diamonds he put in there....well that's what I paid for anyway....LOL....I hope the Prince is home soon to bring me something for the pain......! I might just get told to stop being a "sooky sooky la la".......!

'Til next time..............................Lorraine

Hey Lorraine! WOW! What a fun parcel to find on your verandah!! My parcel delivery bloke tends to stand at my front gate and hurl parcels onto my verandah!! Hope he checks first for 'fragile' stickers!! Love all your goodies - especially that table topper - but I'm with you - too pretty to cover up on a table! Hope you're having a great week! Bear Hugs! What a lucky lady you are to receive Nanette's swap - and she was lucky to receive your gifts. I think the two of you really "hit the jackpot"!!! I've paid for diamonds in my teeth, too! LOL!! Feel better soon!

We quilty women are all so alike! Love the quilt! (Lucky you) And HATE the dentist. Not sure why we all dislike the dentist so much. Perhaps it's because after enduring all that discomfort in the chair they add insult to injury when they give you the bill! (Up with quilts! Down with dentists!)

Cute, ctue. The scallop border really adds to it. I am not a participant in the exchange but it has been fun sewing what you all did.
