Loxton - looking forward to a wonderful time in '09!

After an early dentist appointment which took all of 10 minutes - just time enough to put a temp patch on the broken tooth and order in the gold for the crown..LOL.....I finished packing and left for the Riverland and Loxton in particular......it was raining for most of the way but the trip was otherwise uneventful - Loxton is about two hours from home. First stop of course was Almond Grove where I unloaded the sewing machine and did some shopping.........no trip to Loxton is complete without a visit to the shoe shop so that was next on the list.....then on to the hotel to book in and unload the rest of the (way too much) stuff I bought with me.....one of the class projects for the weekend needs a notebook.....so off to the newsagency ........I also found a great little gift shop where I found this gem.....if you are wondering about the message...check out Kathy's blog for her series of chalkboard doodles......I thought it would be nice if she came and visited me and drew on my chalkboard..........................

As I was leaving home today the parcel lady arrived......couldn't leave the goodies home so packed them in my bag and bought them along.....a little while ago I signed up on Karen's website for her BOM.....these are the first two blocks.....How cool are they!! Those little packets of wool goodness are too cute!!

The other parcel was a dolly quilt from Material Obsession......a little different from the Prim wool and stitchery blocks from Karen....it's nice to mix things up!! LOL.....

Off to dinner now........then back for some stitching/blogging/reading...................and I should really think about what fabrics I will be using tomorrow........! Looking forward to meeting Anni and Natalie tomorrow and catching up with everyone from '08!

'til next time..............Lorraine
