A few things red...and a finish in black!

Red Club.........Red Stitching.......and a Red Back............................!

Red Club was last Saturday and we 'built' a red house.......

This week I finished a little red  Christmas stitchery - I started this one when I was in hospital for a day procedure earlier this year........the borders will go on this on the weekend to make a little wallhanging for Christmas........like I really need more Christmas stuff....LOLOL

A previous red club.....still a top...yet to be quilted...but oh so pretty.......

Red Sweet Peas .....just because I am loving these flowers.......

.......and now the most un-lovely and in fact really nasty red thing........a red back spider......yikes.....

Rhiannon was bitten on the toe by one of these spiders last Sunday night and has been in a lot of pain for most of the week ....I think she is slowly getting back to normal now...but not an experience she wants to repeat!  Amazing how much pain one little spider can cause! The spider's days were numbered however and the next morning it was 'flushed' out of it's hiding place in the  car and  ........well suffice to say it won't be biting anyone else!

That's it for red things for now.....but I do have another finish to share..........

Peace and Plenty by Kathy Schmitz......was really pleasd to finish this one......I have been working on it for the past couple of weeks after not putting a stitch in it for almost a year.....nice to be working thru some of the projects that have been on hold for a while.........

After some great sunny weather it is back to winter again this weekend........off to the farmer's market tomorrow morning with a friend for breakfast and to check out some great local produce.......tasks for this weekend include putting the binding on the little red house ......and since the rain has softened the ground it should be easy to pull out the weeds that have sprung up again in the front garden....I ordered a green waste bin the other day....once that arrives will I officially be a gardener????  LOLOL

'Til next time..................Lorraine

Hope Rhi is on the mend, spider bites suck! Spiders suck! So it was in her car? Yuck!

You have been busy as. Yes. Green waste bin = gardener. I think that pretty red sweet pea also = gardener! Have a great weekend!

i love everything but the spider. poor girl - it must have hurt. david was bitten by a huntsman one day and he was in a lot of pain. did she need antivenom?

Poor Rhiannon - that's an awful thing to happen. LOVE everything you've been making Lorraine - so much beautiful stitching in the Kathy Schmitz and the sweet pea colours are so pretty.

Poor Rhi- that sounds nasty! They're everywhere at the moment. I had one in the boot of my car recently.

Your red house is charming. The stitchery is fabulous.

I'm thinking I might plant some sweet peas next year. Yes Loz I think you are officially a gardener.

EEEk I dread the red back spider bite, we have them everywhere around here, especially round the pool they like little crevices, we are forever warning the kids to be careful and not stick there fingers in holes. Glad Rhianon is on the mend, but they are a worry, did she have to have anti venom or is it a just suck it and see approach. Love the house block it is gorgeous, and that is fantastic really am drawn to her designs and love the black thread. Good to see the stitching mojo is on the way back.

Fabulous bunch of red lovelies! The elves stitchery is squealable cute. How pleasurable to have so many great projects getting done. I have got to get my stitchery traced and ready to go.

There was a red bodied spider on the patio chair I was moving the other day but it didn't get me! It didn't even move at all as I shoved the chair under the table to keep the wind from blowing the chairs over. Hope your girl is better now.

Poor Rhi they are nasty little fellows. We have lots around here just move a brick and you will find one. Love the Peace and Plenty stitchery I have that pattern perhaps I will drag it out.

I saw your Peace and Plenty and decided I just had to have the pattern. I was all ready to order it online. I went with friends to the closing sale of a quilt shop this morning and there it was! Right by the register. :-)

Question. Did you do it in a single thread as the instructions suggest?

:-)
