Here's the thing...........................

Today I had a day off work.........I had some things planned.......did some....didn't get to others.....but it is what it is.....and I am not stressing about the things I didn't get to.  Although the sewing I was planning to do was for our little group's Christmas get together on the weekend......so I will need to be getting that done sometime this week.......The tree is still "untrimmed"......so far Rose has largely ignored it....giving it a cursory sniff from time to time....so I might get some decorations out later and see how she likes lights and balls!

I did get to spend some time with Cheryl (no blog) this morning...we went out for coffe and brunch then spent some time browsing in some shops....not looking for anything in particular ....just looking.......This cute red teapot came home with me along with one cup and two saucers....the other cup is still on the counter at the store (to be picked up tomorrow).....oops!

Yesterday I drove to Port Pirie for Robyn's Christmas stitching day......you can see a slideshow of pics on Robyn's blog.......it was a fun day...and the drive of two and a half hours is a good chance to give the car a run and also provides some excellent thinking time.  It's nice to get out on the open road and just drive!  I was greeted at the door of Robyn's shop with a Santa hat...yikes.....anyone who knows me knows I don't "do" hats....but wore this one (Abi had her wooden spoon in her hand...who was I to argue!?)

As usual Robyn and her helpers went all out with a sit down Christmas lunch....embroidered Santa hats....fabric bon bons filled with goodies on the lunch table.....cup cakes.....cheesecake....oh......and a kit and pattern to stitch.....nearly forgot what I was there for!

I left the green vines of the Barossa and headed north...........

Arriving at Country Hart we were greeted with our project for the day......

A few pics of the inside of the shop.........all dressed up for Christmas........

The weather had cleared by the time I headed home......through cropping country......more wine country and about five local government areas.........

......arriving home in the early evening to a very "pleased-to-see-you-where-have-you-been" little puppy!

Thanks Robyn - it was brilliant - just what I needed!  Looking forward to the weekend in March.

Along with the fun shopping today I did some grocery shopping....one can only live on toast for dinner for so long...LOLOL......so that was about it for the day..........back to work tomorrow.

'Til next time....................Lorraine

I plan to get my Xmas tree and decos up this weekend .... I hope the resident pussy catter leaves it alone ... but somehow I have my doubts about that!! A wonderful day, indeed! I don't do hats either but if someone had a wooden spoon ready well I guess I'd don the hat. LOL

What an awesome time! Glad that you had fun!! We haven't put our tree up yet. DH has a rule.... 1 December and not before! BUT... it's pouring rain here today... so that means he'll stay home... so that means he might do it today... so we can all do it together!

The shop looks so pretty and what's wrong with toast for dinner 5 nights a week?

Love the teapot and the cup!

Sounds like a great day. I don't do hats either they just look weird on me. I could eat toast quite happily for quite a while (avocado on toast, tomato on toast, sardines on toast etc)
