Found...1 mojo.....lurking with intent (to sew) in my sewing room.......don't know where it came from....or who it belongs to ....but finders keepers....and it's mine.....all mine (insert evil laugh)......
FInished this week:
Kansas Troubles block for CW Legacy quilt -
....then Texas Tears from Barbara Brackman (block four) - and I am keeping up so far! These are 8" finished blocks...
I heard on Friday that a little guy who is heading into hospital on Monday loves earth moving equipment/cranes etc.....so I made this pillowcase for him .....(this is the Rolled Pillowcase Pattern from Jeanne M Butler - Rainy Day Quilt School ) it went together really quickly and I like the enclosed seams.......I think I will be making more of these! I hope the little one I made this for gets some comfort from it while he is in hospital....and afterwards as well.
Summer has arrived here.......can't complain really as we haven't had many really hot days...the next few days are going to be around 40C so perfect weather for staying indoors and stitching....well for tomorrow anyway....better go to work on Monday......will leave the mojo home on ice!
This morning I picked up Mark, Terri and Lexi and we headed off for a grooming day! I don't have any "before" pics of Lexi but this is how she looked after a session of combing/brushing and a bath........
Rose wasn't so keen to pose with her Mum, Ruby............she had had enough by then and just wanted to get down off the grooming table........so this is the best pic we managed - Ruby is thinking...."I thought I was rid of these pesky pups...and they keep coming back......how very annoying..... "
...but Rose was happy enough to pose on the lounge once we got home.......look at her....all brushed and bathed........
It's been a big week....and by the time I got home at lunchtime today I was ready for a nanna nap...so watched a movie....then had a sleep...then stitched for a while....and made some dinner. Ventured out later to water the garden and that pretty much took care of Saturday!
Gratitudes: A/C
mojo to stitch
did I mention A/C!
'Til next time.............................Lorraine

Boy, I wish I would have found the mojo before you did!
I think it was hiding in those beautiful fabrics!
It's even supposed to be 40 here tomorrow.Don't know how we'll go, we're still tenting it. So glad you are grateful for air con! I have a fan!!!

I think Rose was just being a bit of a Diva and didnt want to share the photo op !
Wow you DID find your mojo - and pinched at least two other people's too by the looks of what you did. Way to go on the sewing frenzy!
I love the pillowcase. I used the same method to make one recently and was very pleased with the results. That fabric will be adored by he little guy.
Here's hoping for continued mojo-ness.
You must have a little bit of my mojo (the blogging bit) my stitching bit is going well. I couldn't for the life of me work out what A/C was and then the lightbulb came on, doh.
Oh, I forgot to say I really like your little saying on your blog banner.
Well hang onto that Mojo Loz.....and by the look of what you have made, its not going anywhere, the pillow case is going to be loved.... ....all the photos of Rosie and family are so beautiful Loz, what a lovely breed they are...

Love the New Header...
Isn't is great when you really want to sew? I find that once Christmas is over I really need a break from any sort of stitching and then really enjoy it when the mood strikes. Your blocks and the pillow are lovely. I hope the little guy recovers quickly.
Hi Loz,Your CW blocks look fab ... well done on keeping up with them I have been considering starting them as well ... but by the time I get round to doing it ... who knows!!!!
I'm with you ...YAY for the aircon. Been hot in Adel last few days. & I guess I must mention how cute both Rose and Lexi look and how funny they are with both their mums. Stay cool and hope the sewing mojo continues. I did have big plans for today??? but maybe some stitching in front of the TV. Cheers S x
Oh, enough of the doggie cuteness already! They are all such sweet dogs. Did you watch Bondi Vet's puppy episode the other day. OMG! Makes me want a dog even though we are not doggie people!
That pillow slip is a fantastic idea for a child heading to hospital - a great comfort I'm sure.
Yes, starting to hot up down here, it's just hit 30C at 10.30am.
Keep cool
Joolz

VERY COOL fabrics for your rolled pillowcase!!! My 3 year old twins love to spot "Diggers & Dumpers" along the interstate where they're building a new road. I'd love to find some fabric like this one day!!
I just made my first pillow for my 6 year old daughter last night. Very easy. My 1st time to do a French seam.
Love from Texas! ~bonnie
