I started my time off with a road trip..............

..........and I will finish my time off work with........a road trip!  Not so far from home this time....just to Port Pirie.....for a weekend with Melly .....

and Rosalie......

- hosted by Robyn from Country Hart.  As usual Robyn and her helpers did an amazing job with presentation.....this was the goodie bag we received on arrival......

Two projects on offer today......do I choose to do Rosie's applique project.........

Or......Melly's stitchery project.... Baby Bunting.....a cute sampler......

Not the best photo in the world....but you can see I chose the stitchery sampler...especially since Melly could help me with a couple of stitches I have struggled with...the colonial know and satin stitch (which I tend to avoid like the plague)..this is what I achieved today (possibly because Kris wasn't there to distract me???)  Also in the pic are some of the contents of the goodie bag....I am surprised the little gold Lindt bunny survived the day.  I know a couple that didn't!  Not mentioning any names Amanda and Sue (no blog).......!!

Dinner with some of the girls tonight.....then back again tomorrow for round two!  The little sampler will come in handy...there has been a bit of a baby boom at work!  It's for a boy....just need to add name and details .......or there is a "girl" version as well......might stitch some up and have on hand!

Hope Rhi and the girls are having a good time "Rose-sitting" for me (oh and looking after the house as well)....it was a great opportunity for them to have a weekend in the Barossa and do me a favour at the same time.

Gratitudes:
weekends away
friends new, old and absent
my job - I need to go back now!

Oh my goodness! I feel slighted! Are you saying I'm a distraction who never gets anything done? Just because it's true, doesn't mean you can say it Loz!!! Looks like you were having a great time.

Aww, you lucky girl Lorraine to be able to spend the weekend with Melly, Rosalie and Robyn. I have been so excited for you all as the time has been coming closer to your weekend of joy. I am feeling extremely green (not my best shade either). Pleased to hear you have been having a wonderful time, you so deserve it.
big hugs

It was a great time Loz, and lovely to sit with you. Hope the trip home was uneventful ours was very wet and a little scarey because visibility wasn't all that great. Yes and I admit my resolve to be good all weekend lasted as long as that first plate of scones and cream came out oh well back to the diet today.
