You are a bloke in a relationship of several years standing......having a flirty affair with a woman in your workplace........
it's your birthday........
you get some gifts ....including some balloons delivered to your office......no name on the card....just the balloons......

Do you ask your partner (the real one, not the "affair") if she sent them?
Seriously.....would you???
Awwwwwwwkwaaaaaaaaaaaaaard when she says "no".
Two years on - I can laugh about it now!

O M G !!!!!
Awkward is right. Sounds like something out of bad soap opera.
It's good that you can laugh about it now, though looking back it must hurt, but you are moving on which is what needs to be concentrated on. Sounds like they deserve each other and you are better off without him anyway. Plus you have a better partner in Rose, you know where she is 24/7, no chance of her cheating and it must be great to come home to a cute little face and know that she loves you unconditionally!! Sounds like one of the stupidest men alive to me.
Look at you now- independent ,happy fabulous, gorgeous and confident. You're living a life that's fantastic!
Those balloons were the best thing that ever happened to you.
tell the >>>>>> to get a life,
Oblivious.
I love that you are having a laugh! The kids were laughing this evening because they were out in the pouring rain playing basketball with the neighbour's kids. They were so happy I didn't dare chasten them. Hope you enjoy your laugh as much as they did!
Not the sharpest knife in the drawer??? :-)
One would think he wanted to get caught... surely you would ask the woman who new about the other woman first not the one you were keeping secrets from but then again I am a woman and don't have another little brain that takes over at any given moment.
Live long and prosper and may that be your revenge.
What a tosser he was! I bet you're enjoying living your own life with Rosie...Blissful is how I imagine it!
Seriously, why are you even thinking about this if you have truly moved on!!!!!!
Because "anonymous" when a trust is betrayed and hurt inflicted it takes time to be able to look back and remember such an incident and be able to laugh...."moving on" doesn't mean forgetting or never thinking about something.....it just means it doesn't hurt anymore......I would have responded to you personally but you didn't leave your details.....
Hahahaha! I'm thinking about "it's ok with grey areas"! xxx
My daughter once asked me "why are boys stupid" and I told her the answer was "one word: Testosterone".
Doh, he was obviously thinking with his "small" brain...
So glad you can laugh now! You have lots to be laughing about now! Enjoy!
Oh Dear!! Reminds me of the one and only time my first husband gave me an artificial rose in a plastic tube for Valentine's Day, because he felt guilty about buying his girlfriend a rose. A real rose.
Hmmmmm not the sharpest marble in the group, lol. I'm glad you can laugh about it now - time does heal. Hugs - Karen
Though I dont leave comments every time I drop by, I just had to this time.
When I was at my darkest over the past 2 years yours was one of the only blogs I read. Reason being you inspire me. I dont know how you handled the situation with your x, but you always did it with such strength of character and I do admire you for that.
Is it true you are going to Nundle next year? I was contemplating not going this time but now that you might be it would be so nice to meet you.
Much love
Shelley
PS BTW no darkness for me now, all good here.
