Cycling over......now for the Olympics......

Having just got over the Tour de France I am now into the Olympics!  I wasn't going to watch....but it's a bit hard to avoid ............. more late nights/early mornings coming up!

Yesterday I headed off for a shopping day with Rhiannon........I dislike shopping but there comes a time when everything starts to wear out/fall apart so I needed to bite the bullet and go......so the list was made and off we went!  Can't say it was "fun" but it was great to spend some time with Rhi....she did say she now knows how Wade feels when she is shopping!  She was a bit bored waiting for me to try on stuff.......so that's it for another couple of years ..........won't be needing to go again anytime soon.

Rose was clearly very interested in my purchases when I got home..... *yawn*

Today was pretty uneventful......some house stuff and some baking......Kathy Schmitz posted a recipe for Steel Cut Breakfast Cookies here........I figured anything that had such a great list of ingredients couldn't be bad......so whipped up a batch today.......no flour and no added sugar...and they are delicious!  I used a fruit "medley" for the dried fruit component.......and will be making porridge with the steel cut oats ...they are delicious....had never heard of them before I saw Kathy's recipe.....yum!!!

Also busy in the garden today were these bees........not much in the way of plants with flowers around at the moment so they honed in on this one.......love these little purple flowers .......they certainly brighten up the garden during the cold winter days.........

Stitching?.....non existant this week.......maybe I will get some "Olympic" stitching done over the next couple of weeks.......

'Til next time.................Lorraine

I dont mind clothes shopping as a rule except for the fact I find a ton of things or nothing . I was hoping for a fashion parade of your new acquisitions.
