When the stitching mojo jumps ship.............

......bake!   So while yesterday was shopping/household chores day...today was a baking day......

I started with an all time favourite dessert......which I love to eat but must confess I have never made before.....Lemon Meringue pie......

I also made a few little chicken and vegetable pies for work lunches.....

While I was shopping the other day I found some Tamarillos and not having tried them before I bought a few, found a recipe on line and ......

...here  is the result...Tamarillo muffins.....I will take some to work tomorrow to share... along with the lemon pie......

So the freezer is stocked again.....no stitching to speak of this weekend but I had fun in the kitchen!  ....I always get a sense of achievement from baking and it's nice to share with friends at work.......who decided I needed cheering up a couple of weeks ago so sent me  flowers......lovely colours to brighten  my day!

I haven't been completely idle in the stitching department......I have been doing some hand stitching at night in front of the tele with the heater on and a quilt over my knees, nana style.....and there has also been some secret stitching going on......which will remain secret for a while yet.....so just a sneak peek for now........

Not much else going on here at Chez Loz.......Rose and I are just cruising along nicely. .

'Til next time........................Lorraine

Ha must have been the weekend for baking as we cooked up a storm here on Saturday! Your pies look great, you will be the envy of the lunchroom. I have never tried tamarillos either, so interested to here how the muffins taste. Hope your sewing mojo comes back soon!

Something about the cold weather makes us bake.....especially sweets. They look scrumptious.

This cold weather has me baking also. Lemon meringue pie is my favourite. Looks very tasty and delicious. I might come down for a piece.
