Time waits for no man (or woman)....

I have no idea where the last two weeks have gone.....it seems I blink and a week (or two)goes by.....but there is an up-side of time going quickly....it's only a little over seven weeks before Mark and Terri arrive home..... :)

I have been working on my Bring Me Flowers BOM very sporadically ....and stitching a Kathy Schmitz design as well.......It has been sitting on my sewing table with the stitchery finished for a week now and I was determined to finish it today.....so here it is......although I am cheating a bit saying it's finished as I still have to quilt it....but it's as close to finished as I can get it today.....

I am a big fan of Kathy and her work and have the Spring stitchery all set to start tonight...

Yesterday was a get together with the girls for stitching.......this is my bag packed ready to go......

....and no need to show you a pic of it when I got home because it looked exactly the same! Yikes.....not a stitch sewn all afternoon!  The Help is the book club read for last month....hmmm.....I'm afraid I failed dismally at that as well with only two chapters read.

Must.do.better.next.month!

I did go for a wander in Cheryl's garden though and even remembered to take some pics.....

No visit to Cheryl's house would be complete without great food (and lots of it!)  Ian whipped up these coconut delights for us......(suffice to say I didn't eat dinner last night!)

Buddy always enjoys company.............

The blossom on the trees in my garden has all but gone now, giving way to lovely new leaves......

Mushrooms have made an appearance in my front garden....

...along with some weeds......

Just to show weeds will grow just about anywhere....including rock crevices...

I couldn't resist stopping on the way home and taking some shots of this Canola crop.....

so.......not much stitching to show for two weeks away from my blog.....hopefully I will be a little more productive in the next couple of weeks......!

'Til next time..................Lorraine

It's a sweet little mini, I love Kathy's designs too. Sometimes sewing is just a good excuse to chat and catch up. Brilliant photo of the canola.

Hmmm that happens to me as well - get together for stitching and the project never leaves the bag lol - but that's ok, just means there was lots of good convo going on. You'll love The Help once you settle in and read it - one of my faves. Hey you can't beat a Kathy project - I need to get started on another monthly one. Sept is stitched but not finished yet with the border. Have a super week :)- Karen

Looks like you had a lovely Saturday. However you were missed at our little soiree 

Love your new project Loz. That looks finished to me (wink)

I do believe Spring has sort of sprung ...I have flowers in my garden and Im quite excited that they didn’t drop dead over winter. Now if this rain would just p*** off I’d be completely happy.

Cute stitchery. The canola looks amazing at the moment.

Sometimes talking is more important then stitching. The Help is a great read, but I also enjoyed the movie on DVD. Great pics of canola, screams spring to me.
