Stitch in Spring - Rest day in the Port......

Saturday evening we went for dinner at the Twelve Rocks café - named of course for those other twelve rocks a few kilometres along the coast.....more great food with excellent company and a few of these....

While we were eating I had to dash out to capture this.....

Then it was across the road to the motel and some more stitching before turning in.

Sunday was a rest day before driving home on Monday, so after a great early morning walk and a leisurely breakfast Kris and I headed out to the Twelve Apostles for some sight seeing.....it was still reasonably early and unlike every other time when I have visited it was very quiet.....these boardwalks are usually packed with tourists.....

some pics of "the rocks" and surrounds......I never get tired of these coastal views......I hope you don't either......

A little further along the coast is Loch Ard Gorge....named for a ship that was lost off the coast here....

There were only two survivors from the ship and the beach below is where they found themselves after the ship went down.....

After some more time spent being tourists we arrived back at the motel for a spot of stitching in the sun......and some refreshments......

...and there we stayed until another very different but still beautiful sunset marked the end of another fun day......

Monday morning and it was time to start the long drive home....we had just one more stop to make though......at London Bridge (although the "bridge" fell down some years ago) as the sun came up.....

We arrived home late that afternoon....time to unpack the car, the suitcase and the shopping bags and get ready for work the next day......

'Til next time.......................Lorraine

Well captured, both in words and pictures, with your last two posts. The sunset photos are stunning. I also love that coastline.

I was last there 20 years ago, a stunning part of the world, so no I didn't get tired of the photos. Looks like you had a fabulous break.
