London Calling

....and what is a girl to do but answer the call?!

And look who was waiting in the arrivals hall......

.....along with Wade who was busy taking pics....so exciting to see them both again....let the fun begin!

After picking up the hire car we set off on the first leg of a little road trip to Scotland....stopping off inYork on our way to Scarborough - the rain didn't stop us enjoying a few hours in York - would be lovely to have had a few days - what an amazing city!

We arrived at the Albert Hotel in Scarborough yesterday in the late afternoon - the place was packed with revellers spilling out on to the footpath - they turned out to be part of a very large contingent (several thousand) of scooter riders in town for an annual convention - given the inclement weather they must be a hardy lot!

This morning we explored Scarborough castle and surrounds - the sun even made an appearance!

A stop off in Saltburn this afternoon topped off the day nicely...sunshine and fish and chips by the beach - hard to beat!

An early night tonight - off to Edinburgh tomorrow.

'Til next time......Lorraine
