A little more London fun ....

......... Before it's time to go home! ...and I had a partner in crime for the next few days in Judy Newman who was visiting her daughter in London and teaching a class at Tikki Patchwork ...so we set off for a patchwork shop crawl bright and early one morning.

First stop was Village Haberdashery...a cute little shop where Judy found some gems in the scrap basket which needed some time to sort through.....

Next stop was the Antique Textile Company and words just can't describe how amazing this place is....wall to wall and floor to ceiling antique quilts....we were in heaven!

We spent quite a while in the shop and went to have lunch and try and decide which of the quilts might come home with us......then it was back to spend some more time looking at the quilts and trying not to drool too much!

We finally tore ourselves away and it was on to the next shop....Ray Stitch....best use of space in a shop I have seen for a while I think....

Out the back of the shop......Would be a great spot to take a break during a class....

...and downstairs to the classroom and yet more fabric....

The next day we met again and caught the train to Tikki Patchwork where Judy was teaching.....another pretty shop full of temptations!

I started on Emma Mary......more hexies....

Over the next few days we wandered around London ......

The Globe Theatre......

The Millennium Bridge over to St Paul's .....

A little train trip down to Hever Castle.....

Magnificent grounds..

Loved this rustic gate outside the grounds.....

We had the best time and packed quite a bit into our days - I farewelled Judy who was off to Florence with her daughter and got organised for a trip to France with Rhiannon and Wade for Anzac Day ...my holiday was drawing to a close and there was just time for one more adventure.....next time....
