Still catching up!

Gosh! I have no idea where the time goes! It just...well...goes!

A couple of weeks ago I spent the weekend in Adelaide at Hetties Patch with Jen Kingwell.

Always nice to combine catching up with friends, some I haven't seen in quite a while and hanging out in a beautiful quilt shop full of tempting goodies with the opportunity to have a couple of days with Jen.

This was my "work" station ('cos it's hard to call it work really.....) with wonderful inspiration on the wall next to me.......

Marc was down from the Riverland and hard at work (there's that word again!).....She had Steam Punk to keep her inspired! (Not that we really needed any extra inspiration....)

And here is Jen sharing some of her quite considerable talent during the class.....

...and more of her fabulous work....

We were working on the Spring Fever quilt pattern from Jen's book, Qult Lovely

(the quilt on the right in the pic below...)

....a fun quilt with lots of great colour.....

Some progress....but not a lot......its way too much fun just hanging out with everyone and I will never be an over achiever in class!

But I did stop being a social butterfly long enough to stitch this ......

A little more progress since ...loving the hand piecing and fun with colour and with another couple of projects finished (including some secret stitching for a swap) I may find some time to play with butterflies and baskets of flowers .....

This weekend was spent with a dear friend who came to visit and to share her talent with a happy bunch of stitchers a little closer to home.....more on that next time.....

I will leave you with a pic of the sky as it was the other night as I left work....Life is good!

Jen Kingwell is definitely inspiring! Looks like a great start at the class. Glad stitching is still occupying a big spot of time in your life!

It was a fantastic class Lorraine, I got so much more out of it than I thought I would, see you in a couple of weeks for Wendy Williams.

I would need a completely new stash to make those projects, but they are very fun and bright.

Thankyou for sharing these lovely photos. I have that book on my Amazon wish list, so I was interested to read this post. I especially like the cover quilt daisy dos.
I am hoping no-one buys this book for me, as I have so many UFOs and I know I will want to jump right in!
