Squeaking in a post for November! ...just...

Wow!  Not sure what happened.....it was October and all of a sudden it's  the end of November - just putting some meetings in my calendar and realised December is ...this week Whaaaaaaat!

....and I did receive a gentle reminder about my lack of posts from my sister who phoned the other night to see if a) I was still alive and b) if I was still alive why hadn't I blogged lately....

So.....what have I been doing......I need to look back on the pics on my camera for a reminder - it's all a bit of a blur really......  So here goes....

I finished a whole cloth baby quilt for a friend of Rhiannon's - Jess chose all the fabric and I put it together and hand quilted it with perle thread.......it has since been gifted and is being loved.....

I participated in a swap with my online stitching group.....the brief was simple....stuff a tin with......

My tin arrived from Vicki wrapped in snowflake fabric.......

Cutest old tin......love it !!!

I tell you, that tin was stuffed! Lots of sewing stuff....oh and a Turkish Delight....that didn't last long at all!

Thanks Vicki...great job!  My tin was sent and received....and did I take pics before sending....that would be a "no"......very poor form indeed.    Thanks to Roseanne for sending me a couple ......

It was a fun swap and a great theme......it's amazing what you can fit in a tin!

Hmmmm....not necessarily in order here, but I think my next finish was for Halloween and this little Lilipopo embroidery (i love these designs!)  flew off to a friend's house (I think a little late for the actual date, but ready for next year!)

Next up was a weekend away in Wallaroo with a group of girls hosted Sharon from Patchwork on Parade

Sharon on the right with her co-hort Barb....Sharon's mum who lives in Wallaroo made most of the food for the weekend - no pics I'm afraid......but take my word for it...it was amazing!

Sharon is the understated one on the right......

Cabin 12.....not a lot of partying .....but quite a bit of late night stitching went on here....

Always good to be near the sea.....

This was my ta-da moment....the product of the first day...so I wasn't just eating and talking....

The MoonShine bag by Monica Poole....taught on the day by Dannyell

A few pics from day one.....to be honest I was pretty busy sewing most of the day......My room mate Alix from Alize Fabrics bought along some of her shop for the weekend.......there may have been some shopping done....

Setting up for day one.....

some pre-cut goodness......

...patterns from Missouri Star Quilt Company..... Alix stocks many of their patterns and also rulers etc....great service (I know this because I may have placed a couple of orders since i arrived home.....) from a very industrious young mum.

Even though I had taken enough projects to last a dozen retreats I was of course attracted by something new, bright and shiny.....so one layer cake....one Dresden Coin pattern...and the Dresden ruler and a little cutting and I had this ready to sew on day two.....

I got most of it done and finished off with the sashing on the Featherweight while watching the Titanic on Saturday night.....

I didn't spend all of Saturday sewing.....instead Barb and I made a little trip to Moonta to visit the shoe shop.....we also found a Christmas shop...but that's another story.....
I did have in mind what I "needed" at the shoe shop and I wasn't disappointed....couldn't make up my mind between these .....so both had to come home with me......most comfy shoe going around....lightweight and aptly named....Travelwalker - from Kroton - don't take my word for it..... have a look here...

Oh......we had a "super moon"....there were some great pics on line...this isn't one of them..... :)

Since coming home I have been faffing about on various projects and planning for Christmas.....gosh it comes at you fast!

A couple of weeks ago a friend at work asked if I would make a quilt for their new grandbaby in the UK....so I made the top and then procrastinated on the quilting.....Saturday I got it all prepped and yesterday spent most of the day (to the detriment of any house work being done - how sad!) quilting it.....this was during the process...it's now finished, binding on and partly stitched down before I ran out of steam last night.....

Not the best pic of the colours, but I wanted to get the light on it to show the quilting to see how it was going......

So....that's about it from me....... will be super happy to have this crew around for Christmas this year....with of course the new and wonderful addition to the family...little Lenny! This was taken last year when they spent Christmas together in Europe....

Phew, just made it for November.......see you all in December! x

Love the quilting on Matilda's quilt - it looks fantastic. Such a fun busy time and a wonderful photo of the kids last Christmas.

Blogging is a little lacking in my part of the world too. You've been busy having lots of fun, love the bag you made. Cute quilt, and a fun Christmas with the family coming up!

Lorraine, I will be very dissapointed if you don't wear one of each colour! I often do (one blue, one red) and there's always someone who points out did I know I was wearing odd shoes. To which I reply "AHH how did I manage that?". Daft aren't I.
Looking forward to the latest photos of cute little Lenny.

As claimed by Stanford Medical, It's in fact the SINGLE reason this country's women get to live 10 years more and weigh on average 42 pounds less than us.

(By the way, it really has NOTHING to do with genetics or some secret-exercise and really, EVERYTHING to do with "HOW" they eat.)

P.S, What I said is "HOW", not "WHAT"...

This is how my partner Wesley Virgin's adventure launches with this SHOCKING and controversial video.

You see, Wesley was in the military-and shortly after leaving-he unveiled hidden, "self mind control" tactics that the government and others used to get everything they want.

These are the EXACT same secrets many famous people (notably those who "come out of nowhere") and elite business people used to become wealthy and successful.

You probably know how you use only 10% of your brain.

Really, that's because the majority of your BRAINPOWER is UNCONSCIOUS.

Perhaps this conversation has even taken place IN YOUR own head... as it did in my good friend Wesley Virgin's head around 7 years ago, while driving an unlicensed, beat-up bucket of a car without a driver's license and $3 on his debit card.

"I'm so frustrated with going through life paycheck to paycheck! When will I finally succeed?"

You took part in those questions, ain't it right?

Your success story is going to be written. Go and take a leap of faith in YOURSELF.
