Some Lenny time......and catching up.....

When Mark and Terri were married in October they put off having a honeymoon until a couple of weeks ago when they flew to Bali for a week.....Lenny stayed home and after a few days with Terri's sister and his three cousins I was lucky enough to have him for the remainder of the time.......Loved.every.minute!  He is now 9 (almost 10) months old and an absolute delight.......

Chubby little fingers holding chubby little toes.....

...even his washing is cute!  :)

While I was staying in Adelaide with Lenny I saw quite a bit of Rhiannon and Wade which was an added bonus....here they are heading out to dinner to celebrate Wade's birthday....love these two...... who are not far away from becoming three!

Not a lot going on on the stitching front....Rhiannon and I paid a visit to The Drapery while I was in the city and I bought a kit for a hand stitched cowl / scarf which I finished during Lenny's naps. I also picked up some fabric to have a go at some dressmaking - watch this space!  Might need to go for a road trip to visit my sister for some assistance - I haven't had a lot of experience with sewing clothing.......see you soon M!?

Once back to work it was full on with last minute planning/organising for our Australia Day breakfast......early starts and late finishes meant I was mostly in bed before the chooks....well, not that I have any chooks, but if I did I would have been in bed before they were....and they are always in bed by dusk!  Some evenings I managed to stay awake long enough to do a little stitching on one of Gail Pan's patterns, Blessings of Nature, a four part BOM - Bless the Flowers done and working on Bless the Birds!  Always love working on Gail's patterns....especially love her little trademark birds!

Last weekend there was an event in the area which attracted many cars not usually seen on our roads.....I parked next to one such vehicle while I was out one afternoon.....a bit longer, brighter and more open than mine!

So what else has been going on........the annual jigsaw was finished - it's still on the dining room table under the cloth....can't bear to break it up yet.....love these Ravensburger puzzles by Colin Thompson - this one is the Bizarre Bookshop #2 and was a swap puzzle with Susan after last Christmas.  (I swapped the Mariners Chest).

The weather has been quite humid for this part of the world - it is normally hot but dry....this summer we have had quite a bit of rain which has created the humidity which to be honest isn't something I particularly enjoy....I will also say I am not a fan of summer in any of it's forms!  But, summer it is, so get on with it I say!  A few pics from the garden - I don't have many flowers so it's nice when the rose bush blooms and the little native orchids come out to add some colour.

So Australia Day was yesterday and the breakfast saw the culmination of quite a bit of organising on my part....I couldn't do it without the assistance of the local service clubs who cater and those who supply the audio and entertainment.  they are all great to deal with and most importantly, reliable - it makes my job that much easier.....

the Show Hall in Tanunda is a big shed basically and is used for large indoor events.....here it is set up to seat 1,000 people.....well, half of it anyway.....

Members of the Tanunda Town Band played while breakfast was served.....

Some of the crowd who attend and make this a special event......

This year we had 19 new citizens conferred.....

By the time I finish at the breakfast and go in to work to tidy up a few things I am more than ready to get home and put my feet up for the afternoon.....Rose is always there to keep me company! (probably wondering what I am doing sitting down when there are walks to be had!!)

I was lucky enough to be able to take today off to make it a long weekend and this morning was spent in the sewing room cleaning up after the Primavera finishing frenzy.....

Lots of gorgeous colours in the scraps.......

...and I have resurrected an old WIP to work on tomorrow.......the scrappy flowering snowball....31 blocks are done and I will keep making them .....well until the quilt reaches a decent size.....planning to do some cutting tonight so I can sew tomorrow.

So I think I am pretty much caught up with the news and doings from here.....I must catch up more often so the posts aren't quite so long!

'Til next time...................Lorraine

Awwww. Lenny is such a cutie! Love that Impala. Of course you don’t see many of them here either, except at special events. Though I remember them from when I was young. I’m sure you’re glad to have some time for sewing. :-)

Let me know how the dress making goes. I am about to make a dress and a coat from the new Outback Wife fabric. I think I will be pleading for my sister to help me with it too!
Oh and Lenny is soooo cute! Bet you got heaps done while you were babysitting....NOT!

I bought a flowering snowball cutting die for my GO cutter, love your scrappy one! Happy Australia Day late, you've done so many of these so well all these years! Love the flowers, we've had some very good rains here and maybe the drought's back has been broken at last, though not over by a long shot. Lenny is adorable, can't wait to see what you get for the next grandbaby! About to celebrate #3 and #1 birthdays for our grandsons later this month. Goes far too fast. Hope you're enjoying more stitching time.

Did you hear there is a 12 word sentence you can speak to your partner... that will trigger intense feelings of love and impulsive attraction to you deep within his heart?

That's because hidden in these 12 words is a "secret signal" that fuels a man's instinct to love, admire and guard you with all his heart...

===> 12 Words Will Trigger A Man's Desire Response

This instinct is so built-in to a man's brain that it will drive him to try better than ever before to take care of you.

In fact, fueling this powerful instinct is absolutely binding to having the best possible relationship with your man that once you send your man one of these "Secret Signals"...

...You'll soon find him open his mind and soul for you in such a way he's never expressed before and he'll identify you as the one and only woman in the galaxy who has ever truly fascinated him.

As stated by Stanford Medical, It is indeed the one and ONLY reason this country's women get to live 10 years longer and weigh on average 19 kilos lighter than us.

(And really, it has totally NOTHING to do with genetics or some secret exercise and really, EVERYTHING around "how" they eat.)

P.S, What I said is "HOW", and not "what"...
