Leaving the beautiful countryside and lochs of Scotland behind (reluctantly) we headed south for a couple of nights in the Lakes District. We found a cute little B&B on the edge of Lake Windermere and settled in....
This was part of the garden - very calming....
An early morning stroll into town the following morning before too many people were out and about....
Later in the morning we took a boat out on to the lake.....suffice to say someone wasn't a big fan of it at first........
But we didn't end up swimming although it did get a bit choppy out there at times.....
All smiles at the end.....
I took some time out to explore the church cemetery.......
Lovely town.....would have liked to stay longer, but it was time to move on to the Midlands.....I am not finding much time to blog, so will catch up when I can.

Such a pretty part of England. Think I mentioned my Dad was from Penrith. I'm so glad you're having such a fabulous holiday.
