And on to Ironbridge.....
Ironbridge boasts the first arch bridge in the world to be made of cast iron, opened in 1781 - In 1934 it was designated a Scheduled Ancient Monument and closed to vehicular traffic. Tolls for pedestrians crossing the bridge were collected until 1950.
Another beautiful village explored with Gail and her mum who came along with us for the day...

..oh and a pic of the bridge which after all is the town's namesake.....
I know....photo overload, but it is so hard to cull!
