I am really enjoying making these blocks.....hopefully will get the second one stitched tonight or tomorrow...........Although I don't think there will be much stitching done tonight - not when there is footy to watch! I had to work last night at a function so only got to see the second half of the first preliminary final - which was ok since I am a Collingwood supporter - and they had a great win to put them into the Grand Final next week......(this of course will mean nothing to those of you in another country.....or to Kris!)
I decided to come home a different way from Woodside today..........we have had quite a bit of rain lately and most of the dams on farms are full.........lots of spring blossom and green grass....made for a very scenic drive home.
This stone building ....called "The Warehouse"....lovingly converted into a family home........the blue fence set off the white blossom beautifully.................
This old house - deserted and with the door boarded up looked lonely....the garden still blooming even though there is no-one to tend it anymore........I love old homes....so much character......I wonder who planted the bulbs and fruit trees?

Plenty of water everywhere...this was in a paddock next to the road....there was a family of ducks cruising around when I got out to take the pic.......but they were camera shy......
Such a great day for a drive......with a stitching class with friends thrown in.....who could ask for more? Fabulous way to spend a Saturday......tomorrow will be spent catching up on some household chores.......then back to work on Monday. It would be nice to have some time off but that won't happen for a while - have a bit on at the moment..........and when you do have time off I think the days go way too fast and before you know it you are back at work......(and I love my job....must be a bummer going back when you don't !!)
