Pip recently had a giveaway and I was lucky to be a winner...........the goodies arrived in the post on Friday.......fabric.....buttons and a covered journal.......!
Pip has done a great job with the journal cover with free motion quilting, embroidery and beading.....Love the colours..........
...the buttons are too cute....there are some beads in there as well....and loads of little mother of pearl flowers......you can never have too many buttons........!

Another weekend over....!! I finally got to the "quilting room"....the spare room that has my quilting frame in it....it had become a "dumping ground" for anything that I couldn't find a home for when I moved in......and it wasn't very inviting..You couldn't see the frame for things on, under and around it.....but that is fixed now and even though I didn't achieve my goal of actually putting a quilt on it I am pretty happy with my efforts. I also got into the sewing room today and had a good clean up in there..... I "lost" one of my CW blocks - (the basket block)....temporarily anyway. It turned up in my handsewing basket.....I had put it in there to handstitch the handle on the basket....all done and ready for class next weekend.
It was a beautiful day here today.....I was even inspired to get out into the garden and do some weeding....was a bit shocked to find a big part of the front garden and part of the second driveway has subsided (collapsed?)...quite drastically in parts! Will have to get that checked out...hopefully the end of the house doesn't follow! Not something I was expecting to find - put me off gardening and since there isn't really anything I can do about it until I have someone look at it I left it and came back inside!
I found plenty to do in here to keep me busy. Hope your weekend was fun!
