Wow.......... here it is half way through March..........so a bit of a recap of the last few weeks.......
Cold beer with workmates on a Saturday afternoon.........to catchup with a visitor from interstate......great to see you David!!
Another celebration last Saturday.......Maz turned 40 and had planned a party that started with drinks and finger food at Chateau Tanunda .....this pic is of the area surrounding the croquet lawn at the Chateau.....
From the Chateau we hot footed it to the next venue where we were entertained by a couple of Salsa dancers.........the surprise in store for us was that not only were we to be treated to a demo of Salsa dancing....we also got to have a lesson.......I wasn't sure if I was up for it....but it turned out to be great fun.......here are Maz and her hubby John with our dance teachers.....
Another couple of pics from the Chateau.....
After the dance fest we all headed back to Maz and John's for dinner and drinks.....a great afternoon/evening......well planned and a great time was had by all!
While I was out partying Mark and Terri were moving out of their house (putting everything into storage)......and in with me....this of course is short term as they are flying to the UK in a few weeks for a working holiday......I am enjoying having them around and will miss them when they go!! Lexi has also come to stay for a while (she is going to live with her "foster" family while the kids are away)......she and Rose are having a great time.....although Rose wasn't too happy with her trip to the groomer during the week.....I tried to tell her there is only a couple of weeks between a bad haircut and a good one......! She doesn't look convinced does she???? LOL
Soooooooooooooo not happy right now......
I think it's Lexi's turn next!
I was also busy during the week getting ready for my road trip....firstly to Castlemaine for a class with Di Ford tomorrow at Threadbear and then on to Girls Day in the Country at Nundle after picking up a couple of bloggy mates ........one of the things on the "to do" list was to make a pincushion for a swap...hmmmmmmmmmmm..... failed attempt #1
the fabric was wrong and I thought I could live with it......but I couldn't.....so am working on attempt #2 .......not sure if that one will make it either!
Also had to pack the car........
Car packed.......check.......
I also packed a few clothes and enough stitching to keep my occupied for several lifetimes, three books, various snacks, laptop, cameras......and so the list goes......
Yesterday I bid farewell to the vines of the Valley and hit the road........
Road works caused a few delays but I wasn't in a hurry so a few extra minutes added to the trip didn't phase me.....it was a good chance to whip out the camera for a pic while we were stopped......
I arrived in Castlemaine in time to unpack the car and settle in before dinner......and get a good night's sleep in readiness for some sightseeing and shopping today......
Will save the pics from today for another post! .........suffice to say Threadbear and Haberdash were on my list! Did I say I LOVE holidays??
'Til next time....................Lorraine

All the best for your road trip, sounds like it will be fun catching up with some blogging friends. It's amazing how dogs can give so many expressions. Rose is 'not happy Jan'!!
Enjoy your road trip. Your pics cracked me up - Poor Rose, the look on her face is priceless and the car packing efforts - all liquids!
Have fun,
Joolz
Enjoy your holiday. Have a wonderful time. I like the way you pack a car!!!
What a fun weekend you had. Drive safely. Rose looks so sweet.
Rose looks like she's thinking about some dastardly revenge for that haircut. I'd put my best shoes and handbags away until it grows back...
Enjoy your time away. Come back with stories to share and above all - relax!
I always enjoy sharing in your adventures. Poor Miss Rose...good thing her hair will grown out fast!
See you wednesday... and looks like you can probably help me with how to make pincushion!
