Yes, it's true - I have been away again, just for a few days with Rose.........to visit Leanne - and it was great to catch up after what seems like forever!  No stitching was done, but Leanne took me on a couple of her favourite walks (still more to explore next time!) and it was a very relaxing time - Rose loved exploring new territory - so many wonderful smells and distractions!

Before I went to Leanne's I spent most of the long weekend cleaning house.....it was time for some of the chores I had been putting off...and it was very satisfying to come home this afternoon knowing it was all done. I won't bore you with the details of the cleaning...you know how it goes.....I have been enjoying a little break for a week - work is set to be pretty busy for the next few months, so a few days off is lovely!

the weekend wasn't all work and no play (because that would make it really boring...)
Friday night Mark and Terri were here getting ready for presentation night at the footy club.....quite the dashing couple in their black and white outfits...well, I think so anyway :)

Saturday was a stitching day with the girls which started with some of this......followed by an amazing lunch.......

After lunch it was time to get down to the serious business of the day......more drinks.....just kidding......you know I don't drink .......

Amanda is working on this cross stitch - black on black....something that needs to be worked on by day I am thinking.....

Cheryl is busy sewing shirts.....

Hmmm....Joyce was busy.....drinking tea.....after not finding the time to prep any stitching to bring.....

...and I was working on Leanne's stitchery from Stitch in Spring......again.....

So I managed to avoid housework on Friday by spending the time at the hairdresser, shopping (for food) and thinking about what needed to be done....I get so easily distracted! The weeds in the garden were threatening to invade the house, so I spent some time pulling them out and filling the green waste bin - very satisfying, but alas, the house still wasn't clean!  My sewing room was a mess, and was strangling the life out of any sewing mojo that wandered in and got lost ......so a good clean / tidy was on the cards ....and it's all ready to be messed up again now!

So leaving a clean house behind me and with a car with a full tank of fuel I headed for the coast........

...to be continued!

'til next time.......................Lorraine

Housework is so annoying, but it will be nice to come home to a tidy house. Enjoy your travels.
